Blue Devils Face Tough Away Loss Against Taylor (IN) at Turner Stadium

On October 26, 2024, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils faced off against Taylor (IN) at Turner Stadium in Upland, IN, enduring a challenging contest that ended with a final score of 48-30 in favor of Taylor (IN).

The Blue Devils found themselves trailing significantly at halftime, with the scoreboard reading Taylor 28, Lawrence 7. Despite the early setback, Lawrence displayed resilience, pushing back in the second half but were unable to overcome the deficit. Key offensive plays included dual touchdowns from Ryan Schuster, who not only rushed for two touchdowns but also connected on a pivotal 36-yard pass to Jaden Rembert for a touchdown with 10:42 remaining in the fourth quarter

Ryan Schuster had an impactful day with 268 passing yards and two touchdowns, despite being sacked four times. On the receiving end, Jaden Rembert shone with two touchdowns and 66 yards on five receptions. The defensive effort was led by Sylvester Jones and Brody Snyder, who collectively made 25 tackles, with Snyder also recording a sack. Special teams contributions included flawless performance from Vincent Robison who made all his attempted field goals and PATs. Brycetyn Hedden handled punting duties, averaging 31.2 yards over five punts.

With this loss, the Blue Devils' season record moves to 1-6. They aim to bounce back in their next game scheduled for November 2, 2024, at Blue Devils Stadium, where they will host Madonna University for Lawrence Tech's senior day.  The team looks to improve standings and rally their home crowd for a much-needed victory as the seniors will take the field for one last time at Blue Devils stadium. .
