| By:
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - In a fiercely contested CCWHA game at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena on November 16, 2024, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils skated to a 1-1 draw with the Miami Red Hawks after overtime. This result keeps the Blue Devils' season record at an impressive 9-4-3.

The game started tensely, with the Red Hawks opening the scoring at 1:15 into the first period. The Blue Devils managed to regroup and press back in the second period. Freshman Addy Langton, assisted by senior Athena Chapman and graduate student Valeria Ortega, capitalized on a power play at 5:25, evening the score-line and setting the stage for a nail-biting finish. Despite several attempts from both teams, neither could break the deadlock in regulation and the subsequent overtime, resulting in a rare draw.

Lawrence Tech's goalie, junior Rachel Hart, was a standout performer, stopping 25 of 26 shots. Her crucial saves kept the Blue Devils in contention throughout the game.

Looking ahead, the Blue Devils will remain at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena for their next game on November 23, 2024, where they will face Central Michigan. With their current form, the Blue Devils are hopeful to extend their strong season performance.
