FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--In an American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 men's hockey Top-25 matchup between the top teams in the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference East Division, second-ranked Lawrence Tech edged No. 15 Saginaw Valley State, 2-1, on Senior Night at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena on Friday.

The host Blue Devils won their 19th consecutive game to improve to 22-3-1 on the season and 12-0-1 in the MCHC-East, extending the nation's longest winning streak and setting a program-record for regular-season victories. The Cardinals fall to 16-8-5 overall and 8-2-3 in the conference.

Senior Connor Juhasz scored what proved to be the game-winning goal, unassisted and with LTU shorthanded, with 7 minutes and 36 seconds remaining in the second period to make it 2-0.

Freshman defenseman Trevor Losier got the scoring underway at the 11:18 mark earlier in the frame. He was assisted by sophomore Benjamin De Haas.

Kyle Kubiak cut the Cardinals' deficit in half with a power-play goal at 19:25 of the third period. He was assisted by Cameron Barless.

Lawrence Tech junior goalie Timothy Young made 26 saves, while SVSU's Brendan Cobb had 20.??????

These same two teams will close their weekend series tomorrow night at 9:30 at the Saginaw Bay Arena.
