Dominique Evans led Lawrence Tech with 18 points to help the Blue Devils rally for a 72-66 Wolverine–Hoosier Athletic Conference women's basketball victory over host Northwestern Ohio at The Garage on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils improve to 11-13 overall and 9-9 in the WHAC, while the Racers slow down to 10-14 on the season and 6-12 in the conference.
Lawrence Tech had its best shooting game this season, making 28 of 60 field goal attempts for 46.7 percent while holding UNOH to just 32.8 percent (19-58). Sophomore
Kate Jacobs, who added 14 points and a team-best eight rebounds, was 7-for-11 from the field, while Evans was 6-of-11.
Alysia Lawson pumped in 26 points for game-high honors to pace UNOH, followed by Olivia Thompson with 18. Alayha Allen (9 points) led all student-athletes with 16 rebounds and four blocked shots. Alycia Patterson (6 points, 9 rebounds) had a game-best five assists.
The Racers led 17-11 after the first quarter, but the Blue Devils won the second, 20-13, to take a slim 31-30 halftime lead.

Maggie Long (8 points, 7 rebounds) made a jumper to close the gap to 51-50 by the end of the frame.
Lawrence Tech made its move in the fourth quarter, opening with a 17-9 run to go up 67-60 with 4 minutes and 11 seconds remaining. Fifth-year senior
Julia Huey's 3ball on a fastbreak at 6:47 put LTU in front for good (59-58), as Jacobs tallied six points during the spurt.
Lawrence Tech made four of five free throws down the stretch to fend off the Racers, who outscored the Blue Devils bench 29 to 15.
Lawrence Tech returns home to the Don Ridler Field House on Wednesday (5:30 p.m.) against Lourdes in a WHAC contest.
