ANN ARBOR, Mich.--The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Bowling Championships are set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Mich. Qualifying will begin at 8:30 a.m. with match-play starting at 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 8 a.m. A reminder that admission is charged for all WHAC-sponsored events.
The cost is $10 general admission and $7 for seniors and students. All ticketing is done through the WHAC partner, Hometown Ticketing, and it is recommended that fans purchase their tickets via the link. You may also purchase at the door.
Event organizers would like to remind spectators that they will not be allowing chairs, stepstools and ladders to be brought into the center. There will be a limited number of seats available along the concourse area.
The tournament format will consist of 12 baker games bowled by each team to determine seeding. The top-four varsity teams will then participate in a three-out-of-five double-elimination tournament to determine the conference postseason champion. The WHAC tournament champion declared by the most total pins knocked down in the final match. The top-four reserve teams will participate in a three-out-of-five double-elimination tournament to determine the conference reserve postseason champion. The WHAC reserve champion will be declared by the most total pins knocked down in the final match.
