BROOKINGS, S.D. -- The Lawrence Technological University women's track team sent two runners to the National Championships. Both of them have qualified for the Nationa final in their respective races.
Jacqueline Albo ran a 2:16.02 in the 800m preliminaries, good for second in her heat and fifth overall. This allowed her to qualify for the finals tomorrow, as the top two from each heat followed by the top two wildcard times (a total of 8 runners) advance.
Hanna Assenmacher ran her 3000m preliminary race in 10:26.01, a time that placed fourth in her heat and seventh overall. This allowed her to qualify for the finals tomorrow, as the top four from each heat followed by the top four wildcard times (a total of 12 runners) advance.
