AVE MARIA, FLA. -- The Lawrence Technological University women's lacrosse team concluded their spring break road trip with a battle against Ave Maria. This is was the third consecutive game against teams that were at least receiving votes in the last coaches poll—#4 Keiser, (RV) Webber International, and (RV) Ave Maria.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Ave Maria led 5-3 at half
• The Blue Devils took over in the third, scoring 5 of the 6 goals, to take an 8-6 lead into the fourth.
• Smythe's goal with 11:30 left gave the Blue Devils a three goal lead, and would turn out to be the decider, as the  Gyrenes would score twice in the period.

GAME NOTES:

• Alaina Smythe led all players with 6 points (5 goals, 1 assist)
• Alexandra Mazurczak led the Gyrenes with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists)
• Anabelle Acluche (4-0) was credited with the win. She saved 17 shots in the victory
