GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University Men's Lacrosse team headed out to #6 Aquinas on Wednesday Evening.
The Blue Devils fell to the Saints 10-15 in another WHAC matchup.
The Blue Devils are now 2-4 in conference play and 3-7 overall this season, while the Saints now are 4-1 in conference play and 8-1 overall.
The Saints came out firing, scoring 5 goals, giving themselves a 5-0 lead right off the bat. Sophomore Trevor Donuhue gave the Blue Devils their first goal of the game and junior
Grady Holmes closed out the first quarter scoring, ending the first quarter 5-2. Holmes scored another goal for the Blue Devils right away in the second quarter start. However, the Saints scored three unanswered goals to close out the first half of the game. The Blue Devils headed into the second half of the game down 3-8.
Junior
Nick Soukup opened up the scoring in the third quarter, cutting the Blue Devils deficit to four goals. Aquinas scored two more goals, however the Blue Devils scored two more right back and the Saints responded with two more goals again. Senior
Eli Lozinski scored for the Blue Devils making the score 7-12. Aquinas ended the quarter scoring one more goal. Holmes opened up the scoring in the fourth quarter, attempting to comeback. Aquinas was not going to allow the Blue Devils come back as they kept applying the pressure, scoring another goal following Holmes goal. Lawrence Tech scored two more goals in attempt of their comeback but could not finish the comeback as Aquinas scored one more goal following to end the game 15-10.
Sophomore
Jarret Willershausen played in goal for the Blue Devils, facing 21 shots and saving 6 of those shots.
Holmes lead the Blue Devils with six points. (4 goals and 2 assists).
