TOLEDO, OHIO -- The Lawrence Technological University Baseball team traveled to take on the Lourdes Grey Wolves in conference play.

Game 1
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Lourdes scored three in the bottom of the first to start the scoring
• A home run capped a 4-run fourth for the Grey Wolves
• An RBI groundout in the fifth got the Blue Devils on the board
• The Blue Devils 5-run sixth made it a ball game
  • Jake Llaneza doubled in Ben Moore
  • Burch followed with a home run, making that two in as many days
  • Trent Reed singled in Sawyer Pugh
  • Zach Meier hit by pitch with the bases loaded brought in the fifth run of the inning
• Harper foces three LTU ground outs to end the game

NOTES:

• Anthony Brohl started and pitched 3 IP, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, striking out 3. He was tagged with the loss
• Zach Yeip pitched a scoreless inning 
• Brett Reed and Carter Dixon pitched a scoreless sixth

Game 2
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Burch scored in the fourth on a Nick McCormick RBI ground out
• A batter later, Tasker Tripi scored Nick Post
• A couple groundballs to the outfield scored two for Lourdes to tie in the fourth
• A solo homer in the sixth gave Lourdes the lead
• Three flyouts in the ninth secured a victory for Lourdes

NOTES:

• Jeremy Flattery started and pitched 5 IP, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and 1 walk, striking out 5.
• Matt Olson took the loss, pitching an inning of relief allowing 1 run on 1 hit and a walk, striking out 2
• Ryan Hulke and Matt Olson pitched scoreless innings
• Zach Meier's 16 game and Joel Strinemann's 14 game hitting streaks were snapped

The Blue Devils (24-16, 16-9) face Madonna on Tuesday, April 23 at 1pm.
