LIMA, OHIO--The Lawrence Technological University baseball team entered the elimination bracket, facing Lourdes, where the loser's sg eason very likely coming to a close. The Blue Devils made sure their season continued, throttling Lourdes 15-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Lourdes scored their run in the first inning, with a solo shot to right center
• In the fourth, Brett Reed brought himself and Jack Burch in with a deep drive to right
• Joel Stirnemann ambushed Smith, going back-to-back with Reed, extending the lead to two
• Zach Meier tripled in Trent Reed in the 7th
• Jake Llaneza brought in Trent Matthews (running for Meier) on an error by the shortstop
• Logan Walker plates Tasker Tripi (running for Llaneza) with a sac fly
• The Blue Devils blew it open in the eighth
  • Stirnemann led off the inning with a single to center
  • T. Reed singled
  • Meier plated Stirnemann on an error by the third baseman
