SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Tech men's soccer team opened up their regular season hosting the Maple Leafs of Goshen College Wednesday evening, that ended in a 2-1 defeat over the Maple Leafs. The Blue Devils record is now 1-0, while the Maple Leafs record is now 0-2.

Ian Janus started the game for the Blue Devils. The Maple Leafs got 2 shots on goal and were able to put one through the net.
The Blue Devils opened up the scoring with freshmen Marc Martin striking at the 38th minute assisted by Alex Hall Marco. Lawrence Tech extended their lead with senior Jacob Schleicher scoring making the score 2-0. Lawrence Tech headed into the second half with the 2-0 lead. However, the Maple Leafs responded back, cutting the Blue Devils lead down to 1 at the 72nd minute.
The Blue Devils will be back in action on Saturday hosting Marian University at a 4pm kickout.
