SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Tech men's soccer team hosted the Knights of Marian University Saturday afternoon, as the Blue Devils fell 5-2. The Blue Devils record is now 1-1, while the Knights record is now 1-0-1.

Ian Janus started the game for the Blue Devils. The Knights got eight shots on goal and were able to put three through the net.
The Knights opened up the scoring at the 17th minute of the game and shortly scored another goal right after, making the score 2-0. The Blue Devils headed into the second half down by two, looking for some change. Lawrence Tech came out firing to start the half with junior Guillermo Garcia opening up the scoring for the Blue Devils at the 49th minute. Just about two minutes later, freshman Marc Martin ties the game up with the assist from sophomore Pedro Roses. Just a minute later Marian broke the tie, making the score 3-2. The Knights were able to put two more goals in before the end of the game extending their lead 5-2.
The Blue Devils will be back in action on Friday heading out to University of Pikeville for a 7pm kickoff.
