Womens Hockey Faces Defeat at Home

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - The weekend proved to be a challenging series for the Lawrence Tech womens hockey team as they hosted Liberty University for two games at Farmington Hills Ice Arena on October 10 and 11, 2025. The first game on October 10 was a hard-fought battle that saw the Blue Devils fall in overtime, 4-3. After going down 2-0 in the second period, LTU staged a dramatic third-period comeback, with goals from Sophia Buckberger, Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick, and a power-play goal from Addy Langton to take a brief lead before Liberty tied it late and won in the first overtime. Sophia Buckberger was a standout with one goal and two assists, while Jordyn Bebus contributed two assists. Unfortunately, the second game on October 11 was a dominating performance by Liberty, resulting in a 7-0 shutout loss for Lawrence Tech.

The Blue Devils will look to bounce back on the 17th and 18th, where they will travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on Miami University (Ohio).
