It was a weekend to remember for Lawrence Tech Bowling, as the Blue Devils Men's and Women's Teams secured three first-place finishes across four events, along with a strong second-place showing. Competing at the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker Classic and the Lehigh Valley Classic in Allentown, Pennsylvania, both teams delivered standout performances against top collegiate programs from across the country.
Facing deep national fields, the Blue Devils Women's Team went a perfect 2-for-2, winning both the first and second Tier 1 events of the weekend. In the opener,
Samantha Czerw,
Kaelynn Weber,
Amelia Adams, and
Brooke Kochel all finished in the top 10. In the second event,
Amelia Lemanowicz led the entire field with a 200 average and 1,000 pins, while Czerw added another top-10 finish to help LTU pull away during Baker play and seal the win.
On the Men's side, the Blue Devils opened the weekend with a dominant performance at the first event, winning by nearly 150 pins behind a +323 Baker round and a 9,583 total pinfall.
KC Campbell,
Ayden Davis, and
Nick Weidenbach all finished in the top 15 individually. At the second event, senior
Benjamin Augustitus rolled a 269, tying for the tournament's high game and helping LTU secure 2nd place out of 19 teams, just 76 pins shy of the top spot. Together, these four powered a weekend of elite consistency for the Men's Team.
This weekend's success adds to what has already been a awesome season for LTU Bowling. With multiple titles, top finishes, and rising individual talent, the Blue Devils have firmly established themselves as one of the most competitive programs in the country.
Next up: Both teams play at the AHBA IV on Saturday, January 10 at Spins Bowl – Century Lanes in Waterford, Michigan.
