DEARBORN, Mich. - The Blue Devils secured a hard-fought 5-3 victory over Michigan-Dearborn on the road, with
Maximus Nguyen leading the charge by tallying four points on a goal and three assists. LTU took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission with even-strength goals from
Bryce Iott and
Avery Pittman, and then pulled away in the third period with goals from
Hogan McNeish and Nguyen, before
Kevin Bond sealed the win with a power-play goal. Goaltender
Brett Tome made 29 saves in the winning effort, as the Blue Devils capitalized on their opportunities, going 1-for-2 on the power play and shutting down both Michigan-Dearborn power-play chances to secure the 5-3 final score.
The Blue Devils mens hockey team will face off against Michigan Dearborn again on Saturday, December 6th, in Redford to complete the series.
