REDFORD, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech Blue Devils men's hockey team suffered a tough 5-4 overtime loss to the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Redford Ice Arena. The game was an offensive battle with Michigan-Dearborn outshooting Lawrence Tech 46-25. Lawrence Tech took a 1-0 lead late in the first period with a goal from
Ian Kuntz. The second period was a back-and-forth affair, with Lawrence Tech's
Nicholas Ceccarini scoring early, but Michigan-Dearborn netted two goals to take a 3-2 lead. The Blue Devils rallied in the third period, scoring two goals, including Ceccarini's second goal of the night, and a goal from
Lukas Robinson, to take a 4-3 lead, but Michigan-Dearborn tied the game with a goal late in the third. Ultimately, Michigan-Dearborn secured the victory 2:45 into the first overtime period. Goaltender
Brett Tome made 41 saves on 46 shots for Lawrence Tech.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils will be back in action after a long break, facing IUP on January 9th for the Blue Devils Classic at Clark Park.
