Blue Devils D3 Hockey Season Ends with Loss to Hope

| By:
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - In a tough contest at NHL Arena-CCIC on March 21, 2025, the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils faced off against the Hope College Flying Dutchmen in the ACHA National Championship, enduring a 5-0 defeat.

The Blue Devils entered the rink with high hopes but found themselves trailing early, as Hope College took a commanding 2-0 lead by the end of the first period. The situation didn't improve in the second period, where the Flying Dutchmen extended their lead to 4-0.

As the third period unfolded, Hope scored their 5th goal, ending the game. Timothy Young and Griffin Foster, goaltenders for the Blue Devils, faced a barrage throughout the game. Despite their efforts, Hope College's sharpshooters found a way through.

This loss marks a significant moment for the Blue Devils, who showcased their resilience despite the difficult scoreline. With this loss, the Blue Devils have been knocked out of the ACHA National Playoffs and have played their final game of the season. The Blue Devils finish the season 30-2-2 with both losses coming from Hope College. The Blue Devils were overwhelmed with support from their fans this season and will aim to come back even stronger next season to bring the national championship trophy back to Southfield.
