ST. CLAIR, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils showcased exceptional performances at the St. Clair CC Invite held on August 29, 2025, in St. Clair, Mich. The men's and women's teams competed vigorously against regional colleges, yielding outstanding results.
In the men's competition, the Blue Devils secured the top spot with an impressive total of 24 points, significantly outpacing their closest competitor, Macomb Community College, which scored 49 points. The men's team demonstrated their dominance by securing the top three individual finishes. Notably, Greason Lawrence led the pack, clinching the overall win with a remarkable time of 26:31 among 77 participants. His stellar performance has dubbed him a potential nominee for the WHAC runner of the week accolade.
As for the women's side, the Blue Devils tied for second place with St. Clair Community College, both accumulating 67 points. Despite the strong competition from Grand Rapids Community College, who won with 47 points, the Blue Devils' women's team showed strong individual performances. Maddie Armstrong was a highlight, finishing second and marking her as the top performer for the Lawrence Tech team. Top 10 finishers in the meet were awarded special shirts, recognizing their excellent achievements under favorable racing conditions.
Looking forward, the Blue Devils are set to compete next at the Bethany Bison Invite on September 13, 2025, held in Bethany, WV. This upcoming event will provide another platform for both teams to display their fortitude and competitiveness in the cross country circuit.
