Three Blue Devils Honored for WHAC Player of the Week Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Lawrence Tech University's volleyball team has received significant accolades this week, with the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) recognizing Sydney Eggleton and Dru Temple for their exceptional performances. The awards were announced following the votes by conference Sports Information Directors (SIDs).

Sydney Eggleton, a senior outside hitter from Southfield, Michigan, was named the WHAC Attacker of the Week. Eggleton led the Blue Devils to a 3-1 victory over Madonna, marking the team's first WHAC win of the season. During the match, she impressively scored 22 kills with a .426 hitting percentage, added 13 digs, and served a critical ace. Her performance not only demonstrated her skill and leadership but also set a high standard for the season.

Joining her in recognition, junior setter Dru Temple from Worthington, Ohio, was selected as the WHAC Setter of the Week. Temple played a pivotal role in the Blue Devils' victory, contributing a remarkable 52 assists, which translates to an impressive 13 assists per set. Besides her key assists, Temple also recorded a kill, a service ace, and a pair of blocks, showcasing her versatility and critical importance to the team's dynamics.

These awards highlight the talent and hard work of the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils volleyball team, as they continue their season with strong performances and strategic gameplay. The team looks forward to building on this success in their upcoming fixtures in the WHAC.

Lawrence Tech University's Cadance Beuckelare has earned the title of WHAC Women's Golfer of the Week for her standout performance in the recent LTU Collegiate Kickoff. Beuckelare, a junior from Chatham, Ontario, led the field with scores of 75 and 79.

Beuckelare's victory at the LTU Collegiate Kickoff signifies a significant achievement in her golfing career, highlighting her ability to maintain consistency and composure under competitive pressure. Her leadership not only contributed to her personal accolades but also added prestige to the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils' golf program.
