Lawrence Tech Men’s Bowling Opens Season with 2nd Place Finish at WHAC #1

JACKSON, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech University men's bowling team opened the 2025–26 season with an impressive showing, finishing 2nd overall at the WHAC #1 Jackson Open on Saturday, Sept. 27 at JAX 60.

The Blue Devils came out strong in traditional play, rolling 1,174 in Game 1, followed by 1,016 and 865. In Baker competition, LTU remained steady with scores of 745, 845, 887, and 909, bringing their final total to 6,441 pins and a 207.77 team average.

Junior Ayden Davis (Reading, Pa.) led the way for LTU with a 639 series (265–204–170), highlighted by a standout 265 in the opening game. His performance placed him among the top individuals in a deep field, setting a strong tone for the Blue Devils' season start.

The Blue Devils also showcased their depth as the LTU JV squad captured 1st place in the JV division, giving the program a strong overall start to the new season.

Head Coach Jon Putti's squad leaves Jackson with momentum and will look to build on this strong foundation as WHAC competition continues. The Blue Devils return to action October 4–5 at the Midwest Collegiate Championships (Tier 1).
