SLYVANIA, Ohio. - In a closely contested WHAC Conference basketball game, the men's basketball team faced a tough match against the Lourdes University at Lourdes, ending with a narrow 69-65 defeat.

The game kicked off with Lourdes quickly establishing dominance, taking an early 6-0 lead. Notably, J'Siah Jefferson from Lourdes scored the opening points with a jumper. Despite a spirited attempt at a comeback, Lawrence Tech trailed 28-20 at halftime. Lourdes maintained control throughout the first period, and their largest lead extended to 8 points.

The second half saw Lourdes further extending their lead, with Karter Koester opening the period with a 3-pointer. The Lourdes team benefited significantly from Charlie Wood's efforts, who not only scored critical jumpers but also blocked shots, maximizing their lead to 18 points at one point. Despite Davin Walker's impressive effort of 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals, and strong efforts by Damian Thompson and other Blue Devils players, Lourdes maintained their advantage, concluding the game with a lead of 4 points.
