ALLENDALE, Mich. - Lawrence Tech track and field turned in one of its strongest all-around performances of the indoor season, finishing the weekend with seven school records and 23 personal bests at the Kelly Family Sports Center. The Blue Devils produced national-level marks on both the men's and women's sides, highlighted by relay success and a standout effort from middle-distance specialist Jayde Ullenbruch.

Ullenbruch delivered one of the top individual performances of the meet, placing second overall in her event on Saturday while achieving the NAIA B standard. Her result not only put Lawrence Tech on the podium against a deep field, but also positioned her for postseason consideration at the national level. The strong finish continued an upward trend for Ullenbruch and set the tone for a series of record-breaking efforts by the Blue Devils.

The men's 4x400-meter relay hit the NAIA B standard and currently ranks No. 24 in the nation. The women's 4x400 narrowly missed the qualifying mark by just 0.6 seconds, but still came away with a performance that stands No. 17 nationally. Both units capped their weekend by breaking school records, reinforcing the overall depth and balance across the program's sprint and relay groups.

Middle-distance runner Griffin added another major highlight with a strong showing in the 800 meters. He won his heat, placed fourth overall in the event and broke the school record in the process. His time currently puts him at No. 14 on the NAIA performance list, giving Lawrence Tech another nationally ranked athlete heading into the championship portion of the indoor schedule.

In the sprints, Cameron Krebs continued his rise with another lifetime best in the 400 meters. Krebs stopped the clock in 48.7 seconds, establishing a new school record and adding to the Blue Devils' list of personal bests from the weekend. His performance contributed to a broader sprint group that helped drive the total to 23 personal records, illustrating sustained progress across multiple event areas.

Across the roster, the combination of seven school records and more than 20 personal bests marked the GVSU Big Meet as a key building block in Lawrence Tech's indoor campaign. The showing provided both national-level marks and important momentum as the championship phase approaches. With multiple athletes and both 4x400 relays now ranked among the NAIA's top performers, the Blue Devils head into the conference postseason with tangible confidence and clear benchmarks for success.

Lawrence Tech now turns its attention to the WHAC Indoor Championships, scheduled for Feb. 20-21 in Grand Rapids, Mich., at the Alksnis Athletics and Recreation Building. With national standards already secured and school records continuing to fall, the Blue Devils will look to convert their recent breakthroughs into conference scoring opportunities and further improve their standing on the NAIA stage.
