SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - In a challenging home matchup in Southfield, Michigan, the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils fell 14-6 to Taylor University in a WHAC conference men's lacrosse battle. Despite a strong performance at the faceoff dot by
Ethan Wagner, who won 11 of 17 attempts and collected nine ground balls, the Blue Devils struggled to contain Taylor's offensive surge, particularly during a decisive seven-goal third quarter.
Luke Gannon led the Lawrence Tech scoring effort with two goals, while
Parker Gannon,
Brendan Shinavier,
Hunter Maltese, and
Wyatt Salenbien each added a goal to the tally. Defensively, goalkeeper
Dylan Porter made 18 saves against a relentless Taylor attack that outshot the Blue Devils 52-37.
The loss moves Lawrence Tech to a 1-4 overall record as they look to bounce back in their next WHAC matchup against Siena Heights University on March 14th in Adrian, Michigan.
