HOWELL, Mich. — The Lawrence Technological University men's and women's golf teams posted strong performances at the Cleary Fall Invitational at Chemung Hills Golf Club. Both Blue Devil [B] squads captured third-place team finishes, highlighted by a individual victory from women's golfer Alix Schickele.
Women's Golf: Schickele Claims Individual Title
Alix Schickele led the field on the par-71 course, firing an impressive 6-over 77 to secure first place individually and lead the Lawrence Tech [B] squad to a third-place overall team finish with a score of 373 (+89).
Aquinas College took top team honors in the women's event with a score of 348, followed by host Cleary University at 352.
Men's Golf: Zygadlo Leads Blue Devils to Third-Place Finish
On the men's side, Mateusz Zygadlo turned in a standout performance on the par-72 layout, shooting a 2-over 74 to finish runner-up in the individual standings. His effort helped propel the Lawrence Tech [B] team to a third-place finish in the 10-team field with a combined score of 321 (+33).
Mott Community College edged host Cleary [A] by a single stroke to claim the men's team title (310 to 311). Both Blue Devil squads will look to build on these top-three results as they continue their fall schedules.
