SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Lawrence Tech secured a tight 2-1 victory over Northwestern Ohio in an intense match. The Blue Devils' offense was powered by
Timotej Murcko, who successfully converted two unassisted penalty kicks—one in the 25th minute and another early in the second half—to give Lawrence Tech a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The Racers fought back hard in the 61st minute when they cut the deficit to one. Despite Northwestern Ohio's late push and Lawrence Tech weathering a flurry of late-game fouls and yellow cards, the Blue Devils outshot the Racers 13-7 overall to hold onto the win and remain undefeated in conference play.
Their next game will be Wednesday, September 23 against Calvin at Blue Devil Stadium.
