#2 Lawrence Tech Falls 20-12 to #1 Savannah College of Art and Design

SAVANNAH, GA-The 2nd-ranked Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's lacrosse team took a tough 20-12 loss to No. 1-ranked Savannah (Ga.) College of Art and Design on a sunny Friday afternoon in Savannah, Ga. at the SCAD Athletic Complex.

Lawrence Tech was led by Anna Gagnon (SO/Grand Haven, Mich.) with four goals, Isabelle Vickers (SR/Rockford, MI) was second iwith three, followed by Ashely Sherry with two, and finally, Marci Schaeffer (SR/Eaton Rapids, Mich.). Abby Barnewold (FR/Lake Orion, Mich.), and Teagan Laier (FR/Howell, Mich.) each had one goal whileAshley Collins (SR/Hartland, MI) finished with four assists.

Marie Klonowski (SR/Gurnee, IL) started the game in net for Lawrence Tech and finished with four saves. Vickers was the top defender with three caused turnovers and six draw controls.

SCAD was quick on the draw control and quick with the first goal taking the lead and keeping it. The Blue Devils could not find their rhythm until the second half as the held SCAD to just four goals.

After their finish their Spring Break tour, they head back home to play Siena Heights (Mich.) University on March 17th at the LTU Athletic Field. Opening draw set for 1 p.m.
