TOLEDO, Ohio—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's bowling team competed in the WHAC Jamboree III this Saturday, December 7th. The Blue Devils rolled their way to a 1st place finish.
The first part of the day saw the individuals bowl four games to determine a team score; the Blue Devils found themselves sitting in second place behind Indiana Tech. Pacing the Blue Devils were Victoria Giradina and Treasa Rost, who each finished inside the top four in total pins as individuals. Giardina finished in 3rd as an individual rolling a 233, 234, 178, and 183 (828 total). Right behind her in 4th place was Rost who rolled; 223, 211, 181, and 204 (819 total).
Once the individual games concluded, the teams then rolled four Baker Games. This is where the Blue Devils made up the necessary ground to overtake Indiana Tech. The Blue Devils rolled a 657, 811, 693, and 727 in the four Baker Games. Their final total or the competition was 47 pins higher than the 2nd place team, Indiana Tech.
It will be about three weeks until the Blue Devils are back on the lanes. They will be competing in the Lehigh Valley Classic on November 27th-November 28th.
