SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- This week, the (RV) Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's tennis team will attend the PTR Spring Tennisfest in Hilton Head Island, S.C. where they will take on Berry (Ga.) College, (RV) Georgetown (Ky.) College, Gettysburg (Pa.) College, and Thomas More (Ky.) College.
On Monday, March 11, Lawrence Tech (6-5, 1-1) will face off with Berry (0-0, 0-0) at 5:30 p.m. in Hilton Head Beach and Tennis. On Tuesday, March 12, LTU will play against Georgetown (2-5, 0-0) at 8:15 a.m. in the VanderMeer Tennis Center. On Wednesday, March 13 at 12:30 p.m., the Blue Devils will take on Gettysburg (4-1, 0-0) at Chaplin Park. Finally, LTU will wrap up its participation in the event on Thursday, March 14 when the team faces off with Thomas More (4-8, 0-0) in Hilton Head Resort at noon.
Last week, Lawrence Tech split a pair of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matches against Concordia (Mich.) University-Ann Arbor (1-3, 0-1) and Indiana Tech (5-8, 1-1). LTU defeated the Cardinals, 9-0, and fell to the Warriors, 6-3. So far this season, the Blue Devils have the following individual records:

Last week, Georgetown defeated Grace (Ind.) College, 5-4. In PTR Spring Tennisfest action, the Tigers fell to Coastal Carolina (S.C.) University, 6-2, on Sunday, March 10. So far in this calendar year, Georgetown has won one match and lost three.
Berry will open its 2019 season in the matchup against Lawrence Tech. Last year, the Vikings finished with an overall record of 7-9 and 2-4 in the NCAA Division III Southern Athletic Association Conference. Birmingham-Southern (Ala.) College eliminated Berry in the SAA quarterfinals in a 5-2 match.
Gettysburg will face off with Nebraska Wesleyan and Thomas More prior to its match against the Blue Devils. Last week, the Bullets defeated Shepherd (W. Va.) University, 6-3, in its PTR Spring Tennisfest opener.
In addition to Gettysburg, Thomas More will take on the University of Lynchburg (Va.) and St. Mary's (Md.) College before facing off with Lawrence Tech. The Saints enter the PTR Spring Tennisfest with a seven-loss streak.
