FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - After a two game series against Adrian College (Mich.), the ACHA DIII Lawrence Technological University split the weekend against the Bulldogs, winning the first game at home 5-2 and losing the second 3-1 on the road. 

GAME 1

The first game went in the Blue Devils (8-9-2) favor with a 5-2 win, largely due to a second and third period duo of goals. The first period started off with an early goal by Blayne Young, with assists from Kenneth Malinoski, however, the Bulldogs responded right back within the minute. In the second, it was Malinoski with the goal late in the period with assist from Brenden Henzie. Young then closed the second quarter with his second goal with assists from Jorai Bart and Martino Zaia.

The third period saw Adrian open up the scoring, getting within one early in the period. However,  Jason Drummy grabbed speed and found the back of the net around the bulldogs with an assist from Zaia. Then, streaking ahead with three minutes to go, Collin Clark, with assists from Young and Malinoski, secured the 5-2 win with the final blow of the night. Getting the win for the night was Owen Przybylo with 29 saves.

GAME 2

The second game at the Adrian home arena went a little differently. Niether team could find the back of the net in the first period. In the second, Adrian scored a goal at the 1:26 mark. It took LTU 14 minutes to respond, which they did from the stick of Noah Peters and an assist from Brenden Henzie.

As the teams furiously skated to grab the lead, Adrian found the back of the net with six minutes knocked off the third period clock. Lawrence Tech battled back, putting double digit shots on the Bulldog keeper, but Adrian put the knife in the coffin of the game with a goal with under 30 second left to go. Owen Przybylo had 23 saves on 25 shots, grabbing the loss.
