PLYMOUTH, MI – This weekend saw both Women's Varsity and Junior Varsity Bowling teams participating in the WHAC Jamboree #4 in Plymouth, Michigan, at Plaza Lanes. The Blue Devils consistent and robust performance through individual play and baker games saw them hold firmly 2nd place in the Varsity bracket behind Indiana Tech, who had 281 more pins after the weekend.
Strong performances from Bailey Gipson, Victoria Giardina, and Miranda Buxengard saw them all finishing the weekend in Top 20 overall on the women's side of bowlers. With Bailey finishing 2nd bowling an average of 191.25 pins per game, Victoria finishing 8th with an average of 183.75 pins per game and finally Miranda finishing the day with an average of 177 pins per game.
In the Junior Varsity bracket, Amy Thueme led the way for the Blue Devils, placing 42nd overall with 605 total pins and averaging 151.25 pins per game. They fell to 3rd place with Huntington and Indiana Tech finishing above them respectfully.
This coming weekend the Blue Devils travel to Indianapolis for the MSC Indianapolis Collegiate Classic starting on Saturday, February 8, and then again on Sunday, February 9, 2020, with both days starting at 8 am.
