HOW IT HAPPENED
Kady Waits opened the game with a quick goal from Anna Gagnon. While Albion responded minutes later, the Blue Devils went on a four goal streak, all from the sticks of Gagnon and Mitchell. While Albion got two more goals at the 15 and 13 minute mark to narrow the lead 5-3, LTU regained control of the ball, pushing the lead up 8-3. CLosing out the half, Abbey Smentowski grabbed a rebound off the goalie to push their lead 9-4, but Albion scraped one more up to conclude the first 9-5.
The Brits opened up the scoring for the second half, but LTU went on another scoring streak, responding at least two fold after Albion would find the back of the net. As LTU sprinted ahead with a 15-7 score, Dorie Coggin made a one on one save, where, from her clear, the Blue Devils battled with several dropped balls to score again. With less than two minutes to go and up 20-10, Kady Waits found an opened lane and took it, scoring past the Albion keeper. Then, with two seconds to go left in the game, Anna Gagnon found the magical connection again, threading a pass through the Brits right to Bella Van Buren to win the game 22-10.
