Fort Wayne, IN – The Lawrence Technological women's bowling team took second place out of 10 teams in the first WHAC Jamboree on Saturday.
The Blue Devils recorded a team score of 6447, 319 pins behind first-place Indiana Tech.
Lawrence Tech posted scores of 788, 901, 876, and 835 in its four traditional games before adding scores of 734, 769, 781, 763 in their four baker games.
The Blue Devil score of 901 was the fifth-highest single-game mark of the event with three of the other four belonging to Indiana Tech.
Victoria Giardina took ninth-place out of 108 bowlers, with a final total of 724. She saved her best game for last as she posted her best score in her fourth game with a 204.
Miranda Norris (644) and Caroline Holowenko (641) finished in 20th and 21st respectively while Leah Williams cracked the top third with a score of 587, good for 32nd place.
The Blue Devils head to Beavercreek, OH next Saturday and Sunday for the two-day Orange & Black Classic.
