Lansing, Mich - The #4 Lawrence Technological University women's bowling team competed in the WHAC III - Royal Scot Lanes Bowling Tournament on Saturday. Out of 10 teams, the women took command of the weekend right from the jump. They finished in first place for the third time this season.

The team bowled 1030, 1116, 1019, and 1020 and baker scores of 806, 844, 807, and 766 to finish with an overall team score of 7408. The Blue Devils also had all five bowlers finish inside the top-15. The team's average on the weekend was 205.8

Laurin Prebelich was the top bowler for LTU and for the tournament this weekend earning a first-place overall finish with scores of 200, 229, 236, and 228 for an average of 223.25.

In the next spot behind her was teammate Bailey Gipson,collecting a second-place finish wan average of 222.25. Gipson bowled scores of 220, 225, 219, and 225.

Picking up where Prebelich and Gipson left off was Victoria Giardina in third-place when she posted scores of 180, 267, 180, and 202 for an average of 207.25.

Rachel Iha earned herself a fifth-place finish. Iha posted scores of 222, 193, 212, and 176 for an average of 200.75. The next Blue Devil to finish inside the top-15 was Sydney Clark (14th place) for an average of 192.75 with scores of 208, 202, 172, and 189.

There were 89 total bowlers for the women this weekend.

The next Blue Devils bowling event is on Monday, December 27th when they will compete at the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker (Tier 1). This event is in Allentown, PA.
