Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- A trip to the West End for the Women's Lacrosse team on Thursday afternoon to take on Aquinas ended in a 17-5 win for the Blue Devils. That win pushed the Blue Devils to 2-2 and (2-0) in the conference. It marks the first game in almost a month for LTU due to a University-wide pause in activities that included athletics.
Lawrence Tech looked to set the tone early in the first half scoring 11 of their 17 goals early. Defensively they only allowed 1 goal during the first half. In total, Abbey Smentowski had 2 goals and an assist on the afternoon. Meanwhile, Ashely Sherry had 4 goals and 3 assists, while Bella Van Buren had 3 goals on Thursday. Kady Waits had 2 goals and an assist in the game, and Kaylee Patterson had 3 goals. Anna Foley had 1 goal and 2 assists, and Gabi Larkin had 1 goal and 2 assists Thursday. Other scorers for the Blue Devils were Katelyn Waligora, who scored 1 goal, and Jaisanna Jarvis, who had 2 assists Thursday.
Sydney Lincoln got the nod in goal to start the game with 2 saves and 3 shots. Dorie Coggin played 19:19 and had 1 save and 2 goals, while Anabelle Acluche played 10:41 and had 2 saves and 5 shots. Cards were issued to Kaylee Patterson and Bella Van Buren in the first half, and Jaisanna Jarvis earned a card in the second half.
