Southfield, Mich. – The #7 Lawrence Technological University ACHA D3 men's hockey team defeated Western Michigan twice this weekend by identical 9-1 scores.
Game One: Friday 1/28
How It Happened:
- Nolan Kellough scored the lone goal of the first period, his fourth of the year, off an assist from Derek D'Arcy
- Noah Peters and Kevin Gialloreti scored within 24 seconds of one other just over three minutes into the second to expand the LTU lead to 3-0
- Tyler Drummy and Nicklas Oda set up Collin Clark for his 14th marker of the year, coming via the power play as LTU held a three-goal advantage, 4-1, after two
- The flood gates opened in the third period as the Blue Devils scored five times, including a pair from Oda and Daniel Carbajal's first of the season on its way to a 9-1 win

How It Happened:
- Similar to Friday night, LTU scored the only goal of the opening period as Sawyer Walker found Bradley Scott for his sixth tally of the season
- The Blue Devils netted four goals in 6:35 of the second with Scott recording his second marker of the game as LTU led 5-0 after 40 minutes of play
- Connor Juhasz added a power-play goal 9:09 into the third for his 12th of the year off an assist from Cole Goble before WMU finally got on the board at 6-1
- Clark added another power-play goal for his 15th of the season before Blayne Young and Juhasz scored six seconds apart to end the scoring for the Blue Devils on their way to another 9-1 win
