Southfield, Mich. - The #8 Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils D-III men's hockey team took on the Central Michigan University Chippewas.
The Blue Devils came away 5-1 winners, clinching the top seed on the East side of the MCHC playoffs.
How It Happened:
- Adam Parker sets up Mitchell Sehlmeyer to give the Blue Devils an early 1-0 lead
- Collin Clark tacks on a second first-period goal, a power play, assisted by Connor Juhasz
- LTU leads 2-0 at the first intermission.
- Clark adds on his second goal of the afternoon, unassisted
- Blue Devils led 3-0 after two periods
- Central Michigan's Brennan Martin gives the Chippewas their lone goal, a power play, unassisted
- Derek D'Arcy finds Parker to add another goal
- Tyler Drummy scores in the waning moments. Sawyer Walker and Sehlmeyer were credited with assists.
- Lawrence Tech wins 5-1.
The Blue Devils completed their regular season of play. As a top seed, they will take on the lowest winning seed in the second round of the MCHC playoffs on Saturday, February 19 at 1:50 pm.
