Southfield, MI - The #1 Lawrence Technological University women's lacrosse team hosted Bethel University on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils jumped out to an early lead and kept the momentum rolling throughout the game as they would extend their win streak to six by a final score of 18-4.

How It Happened: LTU 18, BU 4

• Kady Waits would open up the scoring minutes into the game for LTU assisted by Abbey Smentowski.
• With five minutes to go in the first period, Bella Burke and Alaina Smythe scored back-to-back goals to go up 3-0.
• Waits scored her second goal of the game just a minute later.
• With 1:51 left in the first, Burke found the back of the net again to enter the second period up five.
• It took LTU just four minutes in the second to increase the margin after Waits ripped one past the goalie. Assisted by Gabi Mitchell.
• Bethel answered back with two goals just over midway through the period, LTU was up 6-2.
• Just before halftime with under two minutes to play, Sydney Robinson and Burke both scored on a free position attempt.
• The Blue Devils entered the locker room up 8-2.
• LTU started the third period firing on all cylinders scoring four straight goals by Robinson, Smentowski, Mitchell and Burke.
• The four unanswered goals extended the Blue Devils lead to 12-2.
• The Pilots scored on a man-up advantage from Hope Tempelman.
• Hannah Huebner followed suit as she weaved through the defense to give her team a 10 goal lead.
• The final goal of the third came at the 3:27 mark by Burke unassisted.
• The Blue Devils continued their momentum in the fourth scoring three goals in the opening five minutes from Burke, Smentowski and Mitchell.
• LTU would go on to extend their win streak to six by a final score of 18-4.
