(RV) Men's Tennis Down to Wire, Falls Short 4-3

Box Score Hilton Head Island, SC - The (RV) Lawrence Technological University men's tennis team competed on Sunday afternoon against Thomas More University in a match that came down to the wire, but the Blue Devils fell just short in a final score of 4-3.

The first doubles match for the men to finish was Evan Morgan and Nils Hammarsten. They went on to beat their opponent 6-2.
Alexander Tammaro and Luca Roth lost a close one 6-3 to Mcdowell and Molla.
The final doubles match of the day was between Patrick Putschbach/Jannis Schneider and Scott/Villagrana. Putschbach and Schneider won a tight match by a final of 6-4.

Heading into the singles match, Morgan started things off with a win by a score of 6-2, 6-0.
Pedro Garcia-Orellana would go down in his single match in straight sets by a final of 6-3, 6-4.
Hammarsten lost a close match to his opponent ending in a score of 6-4, 6-1.
Tammaro would go down by a final of 6-2 in the first set. In the second set they went to a tie breaker set as Martin Paz won 7-5.
Winning in straight sets in the singles match for LTU was Hammarsten by a score of 6-2, 6-0.
The last singles match of the day was Putschbach winning set one 6-3. Putschbach would lose the next set 6-3. In the super tiebreaker set Putschbach would win 10-4.

LTU would lose this match to Thomas More by a final of 4-3.

The next Blue Devils match is on Tuesday, March 8th when they will compete against Missouri Valley University. This match will begin at 12 PM.
