Sylvania, OH - The #1 Lawrence Technological University women's lacrosse was on the road against Lourdes University on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils dominated the entire game only allowing three goals. The Blue Devils extending their win streak to nine as they beat the Gray Wolves by a final score of 20-3.
How It Happened: LU 3, LTU 20
- A minute and thirty seconds into play, Alaina Smythe scored the first goal for LTU.
- Teagan Laier followed suit to make it 2-0 after her goal.
- Bella Burke scored back-to-back goals in a span of three minutes in the first period to extend the lead to 4-0.
- Lourdes scored their first goal of the game with 5:07 leftÂ
- Scoring her first goal of the season with 1:38 to play in the first was Axey Vang.
- Ending the first period with a goal was Hannah Huebner as the Blue Devils led 6-1.
- The Blue Devils outscored Lourdes 7-0Â in the second period.
- LTU entered the intermission up 13-1.
- With 11:16 remaining in the third period, Burke scored her 23rd goal of the season.
- Scoring two goals in the third was Mackenzie Murtha.
