Three Softball Players Earn All-WHAC Honors

Kansas City, MO - The Lawrence Technological University softball team has three players earn All-WHAC honors as well as all-academic honors.

First Team All-Conference:
Senior, 2B: Sarah Hige - Northville, MI
  • Hige ranked third in plate appearances in the WHAC.
  • The senior was fourth in triples with three and ninth with 29 hits.
  • During her senior campaign, Hige ranked seventh with a .488 on base percentage.
  • The Northville native ranked inside the top-10 in the WHAC for batting average with a .414.
  • Hige ranked 13th in the conference with 70 at bats and 18 runs
  • The second baseman ranked in the top-40 for RBIs with 12.
Second Team All-Conference:
Junior, CF: Callie Tatum - New Baltimore, MI
  • Tatum led the league in hits with 34.
  • The centerfielder was second in the WHAC in at bats with 74.
  • The junior ranked sixth in the WHAC in both total bases (49), and runs scored (20).
  • The New Baltimore native stole 30 bases which ranked seventh in the WHAC, and was seventh in plate appearances with 81 and  seventh with a .436 batting average.
  • Tatum ranked 8th in the conference with two triples.
  • She drove in 17 runs which ranked her 13th in the WHAC.
