West Branch, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech women's golf squad hosted 3 schools for the LTU Blue Devils Classic at The Nightmare and The Dream Golf Course. The Blue Devils shot a team score of 329 on the opening 18 holes of round one and shot a team score of 335 on the second round of 18 holes. Finishing in first place after day one with a combined score of 664. The teams that competed in the LTU Blue Devils Classic are Madonna, Aquinas, and Lake Superior State.

The third and final round will start on Tuesday. 

Leading the way for LTU were the freshmen trio of Tanawan Vetchayanvivat (83 + 81 = 164), who got first place in day 1. Following Vetchayanvivat, freshmen Alix Schickele (82 + 86 = 168) in third place. Tying in third with Schickele was junior Ella Smith (85 + 83 = 168), who also happened to record her first ever hole in one.Trailing behind Schickele and Smith was fifth-year senior Julia LeFere (84 + 85 = 169) and Cadance Beuckelare (80 + 91 = 171). 

Senior Alanna Makarchuk (94 + 88 = 182), freshman Gretchen Ullrich (105 + 96 = 201), and freshmen Mia Hengel (127 + 110 = 237) also competed for the Blue Devils.
