All-MSFA News Release

FINDLAY, Ohio--The Mid-States Football Association on Monday announced the 2023 All-MSFA first, second and honorable mention teams in the Mideast League, with sophomore placekicker Vincent Robison making the first unit to headline nine Blue Devils who made all-conference.

Robison was the most accurate kicker in the entire MSFA this fall, making nine of 10 field goal attempts for 90.9 percent and all 23 of his extra points. He booted a school-record 44-yard field goal in a 41-37 win against Taylor (Nov. 4) and was 10-for-10 (3 FGs, 7 PATs) with 16 points in the season-ending 66-21 win at Madonna. Five of his last six field goal attempts were converted from 40 yards or more. He was the last MSFA kicker to miss a field goal or PAT this season.

Lawrence Tech MSFA Mideast League Second Team honorees include redshirt senior running back C.J. Davidson; junior wide receivers Jaden Rembert and Jalen Wallace; redshirt senior defensive lineman Dantae Banton; and redshirt junior linebacker Matt Plaga.

Davidson, who was also All-MSFA Mideast Second Team in 2022, led the Blue Devils with 498 yards rushing on 89 carries, or 5.6 yards per attempt. He had a LTU season-long 76-yard run versus St. Francis (Ill.). He became the school's all-time leading rusher in the season opener and finishes his career with 1,116 yards.

Rembert also repeats his second-team all-conference status by hauling in 41 receptions for eighth in the MSFA for 527 yards (15th). His nine receiving touchdowns led the Blue Devils and ranked fifth in the conference.

Rembert's receiving partner Wallace led LTU with 45 catches and 563 yards, which ranks fifth and 12th, respectively, in the MSFA. Both receivers rank in the top-5 in LTU all-time history in receptions and receiving yards as Rembert has 118 for 1,714 and Wallace has 104 for 1,236.

Also a 2022 All-MSFA Mideast Second Team choice, Banton posted a career-high 17 tackles among 46 total. He had 7-1/2 tackles for loss of 20 yards and had six passes defended (5 PBU).

Plaga had a breakthrough season that included 26 tackles, 59 total, 11-1/2 tackles for loss of 32 yards and three forced fumbles. He was in a three-way tie in the MSFA for forced fumbles and ranked tied for seventh in TFL.

Redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Ryan Bareis and redshirt senior defensive backs Andrew Perkins III and Christian Broaden round out LTU's All-MSFA presence as honorable mention picks.

Bareis and his OL teammates helped freshman quarterback Alex Osman remain upright to throw for 180.9 yards per game, which is good for fifth in the MSFA. Osman was second in completions (142) and third in attempts, while tossing a LTU single-game record five TDs against Madonna.

Broaden accounted for 35 stops (19 solo) and six passes defended, while Perkins made 74 total tackles (38 solo), three interceptions and three pass break-ups.
