Men's Golf finishes 7th in day one Folds of Honor Challenge

Allendale, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech men's golf squad heading out to Allendale, Michigan for the Folds of Honor Challenge hosted by Grand Valley State University on Sunday. Lawrence Tech being the only WHAC school that made an appearance for this challenge. The Blue Devils shot a team score of 294 on the opening 18 holes of round one and shot a team score of 297 on the second round of 18 holes. Finishing in seventh place after day one with a combined score of 591. 

The third and final round will start on Monday. The Blue Devils looking to improve in round three. 

Leading the way for LTU was Graduate Student Luis Pacheco shooting 72 in round one and 75 in round two finishing off his day with a score of 147. Following Pacheco was senior Bruno Vicente who shot a 74 in round one and a 75 in round two finishing off his day with a score of 149. Senior Liam McEvoy (71 + 76 = 147), senior Anthony Zeitler (77 + 71 = 148), graduate student Victor Queinnec (84 + 80 = 164), and graduate student Diego Courtney (79 + 79 = 158) also competed for the Blue Devils. 

Grand Valley State University leads the team field with a 569.
