Coach Griffin Mertz on the outing: "With this tournament being the first event of the season for the guys and stacked against three strong Division 2 opponents, we wanted to make a name for ourselves. Everyone went into their matches from top to bottom ready for a battle. I'm pleased with the outcome of the weekend results-wise, but more importantly with how their energy as a team was. They all came together and supported each other in a way that pushed each other to victory in tight situations. It was a great example as to what the rest of the season may hold if they keep working hard as a team!"
The Blue Devils return to action on September 23, hosting Cedarville in Southfield, Michigan.
