Women's Bowling Opens 2023-24 Season at Dirty Bird Classic, Placing Fourth

JACKSON, Mich.--The Lawrence Technological University women's bowling squad had its 2023-24 season opener Saturday at the Dirty Bird Classic, where the Blue Devils totaled 5906 pins for fourth place out of 11 schools. The event was hosted by Concordia-Michigan here at Jax 60.

Freshman Aubrie Svilar had a sensational day in her collegiate debut by leading LTU with a first-place finish (608 pins) to make the all-tournament team. Junior Rachel Iha (521, 14th) and freshman Amelia Adams (511,19th) also posted top-20 showings in a field of 95 individuals.

Spring Arbor was in first place with 6419 pins, and the Cougars also defeated the Cardinals in match play, 3-0.

The Blue Devils hit the lanes again on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Rochester Warrior Classic in Flint (Richfield Bowl).
