Columbus, Ga. - The Lawrence Tech softball team headed out to Columbus, Georgia this weekend for the NFCA Leadoff Classic at the South Commons Complex on Friday. The Blue Devils went 1-2 on the day.
The Blue Devils played against William Carey (Missouri) in game 1 of the day which ended in 5 innings with the Blue Devils falling 9-1. Right after game one followed game two against Thomas University ending the game in 5 innings with a 13-2 loss. The Blue Devils headed right back into it for their final game of the day against Johnson University (Tennessee) and with back and forth play the Blue Devils came out with their first win in the NFCA Leadoff Classic, winning 10-8.
