Men's Bowling Qualifies for USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships in April

The No. 4-ranked Blue Devils came in third place with 13,087 total pins

ALLEN PARK, Mich.--The fourth-ranked Lawrence Tech men's bowling team qualified for the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships in April after placing third out of 20 schools in the Allen Park qualifier contested at Thunderbowl Lanes on Saturday and Sunday.

The Blue Devils rolled a collective 13,087 pins through 64 team games, trailing only Calumet College of St. Joseph (13,444) and Muskingum (13,290). Fourth-place Pikeville also advanced to ITC Nationals next month. Through two rounds of 32 games combined on Saturday, LTU sat in fourth place with a 6510 score.

On Friday, junior Nick Clauson qualified for the Intercollegiate Singles Championships after coming in fifth place out of 182 individuals.

Next up, LTU will defend its 2023 NAIA national crown when it hosts the national championships on Thursday through Saturday, March 21-23, at 5 Star Lanes in Sterling Heights.
