ALLEN PARK, Mich.--The Lawrence Tech women's bowling team wrapped up the three-day United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate individual and team championship qualifiers for the Allen Park region at Thunderbowl Lanes.
On Sunday, the Blue Devils finished 19th out of 20 schools after totaling 11,090 pins through 64 team games. The top four teams--including Allen Park champion Pikeville (13,383)--in each qualifying region advance to Nationals in April.
The Blue Devils ended Saturday's first two rounds of 32 total games in 13th place with 5691 pins.
Junior
Leah Williams led LTU in Friday's individual sectional qualifying action with 1271 total pins for eighth place--just missing the top-six cut by 11 pins. She did save her best for the sixth and final game with a high of 245. There were 182 entries.
