Holmes Leads Blue Devils to Comeback Victory over the Scots

Alma, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University Men's Lacrosse team headed out to NCAA D3 Alma on Saturday. The Blue Devils took their first win of the season 15-8. The Blue Devils are now 1-3 this season, while the Scots are 0-6.   

The Scots started off strong, scoring three goals on the Blue Devils. Junior Jacob Cianci broke the shutout scoring the first goal of the game for the Blue Devils and soon after junior Grady Holmes scored. Alma responded scoring three more goals to close out the first quarter, Alma out scoring the Blue Devils 6-2. The Blue Devils allowed one more goal for the Scots in the second quarter as the second quarter was all about the Blue Devils comeback. Lawrence Tech scored five unanswered goals to tie up the game. Heading into the second half of the game tied at seven.  

The Blue Devils controlled the third quarter as they scored six more goals, while the scots only got off five shots. Lawrence Tech sophomore Trevor Donohue and Holmes scored in the fourth quarter. Alma scored one more before the game ended but could not be enough to comeback for the Scots.  
   
Sophomore Jerret Willershausen played in goal for the Blue Devils, facing 16 shots, saving 8.

The Blue Devils will start their WHAC conference games Saturday at Michigan-Dearborn at 2pm.
