SHEPHERDVILLE, Ky. - The Lawrence Tech
men's golf squad headed out to Shepherdsville, Kentucky to host the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate on Friday. LTU facing no.13 ranked Campbellsville.
The Blue Devils Team A shot a team score of 287 placing first and Team B shot a team score of 304 placing seventh out of 12 teams on the opening 18 holes of round one.
Team A shot a team score of 287 in round 2, keeping their first place spot, while Team B shot a team score of 306 in round 2, staying in seventh place.
The Blue Devils played round 3 on Saturday to close out the Heritage Hill Collegiate with Team A shooting a team score of 298, finishing in first place, while Team B shooting a team score of 309 finishing in sixth Place.
Team A:
Leading the way for LTU Team A was senior
Bruno Vicente (73+73+72=218) finishing in third place, tying with 2 other golfers
. Right behind Vicente was graduate student
Luis Pacheco (72+71+76=219) finishing in sixth and senior
Liam McEvoy (72+74+75=221), finishing in ninth.
Senior
Anthony Zeitler (70+69+85=224), and junior
Martin Wing (75+74+75=224) also competed for the Blue Devils.
Team B:
Leading the way for LTU Team B was sophomore
Santiago Herrero (74+76+75=225) finishing in 17th.
Freshman
Yan De Mondt (75+76+78=229), junior
Caden Gloss (76+79+76=231), sophomore
Richard Bramley (79+75+80=234), and junior
Carlos Ochoa (81+82+82=245) also competed for the Blue Devils.
Graduate student Diego Courtney (75+77+88=240) competed individually.
The Blue Devils will take Sunday off as they will travel just an hour and a half east to Nicholasville, Kentucky for the Spring Arbor Garn Championship on Monday and Tuesday.
